When you are in the process of completing an academic paper, you may come across the task of doing a literature review. A literature review is the method of strengthening a work of study with the help of literature that has been established by experts. The literature review aims at working towards providing a basis for the inferences and the study of the research and it often helps in showing proof or base for the study. A lot of people may find it difficult to tackle literature review when working on a project; here are a few simple ways in which the task can be done without hassles:
Check for references: When in doubt, check older works and reference work that has been done prior to yours. If you take note from other work, you may be able to aptly apply it to your own work and not go wrong with it.
Ask help: if you find it completely impossible to go through the literature review process on your own, ask for help from experts. These experts may be found online through web portals that aim at helping students in the course of their academic endeavours.
Trial and error: You can also take a chance and attempt the literature review when you put your proposal forward; chances are that you may get it right. Even if you don’t get it right, you can always discuss with your supervisors about their expectations and work on it again.
Getting through a literature review is not a major task, with some amount of learning and referencing, almost everyone always gets through it and is able to make it through to the finals of their dissertation or thesis project. Literature review is something that should not give you nightmares, if you tackle it the right way.
